Featuring Exotic “Mocktails” & Delicious Food
by our local guest mixologists and chefs:
Brother Cleve, Brother Rumas, Lirba Carrion, Ron Gibson,
Reva Haselkorn and Wendy Simard
Also Featuring the Music of
The Biggest Little Band in Town:
Wali Ali (guitar) & Philip Young (sax)
Wali Ali is no stranger to the music world. He was a lead guitarist with The Temptations, Eddie Kendricks, Teena Marie, Rick James & Patrice Rushen just to name a few. Wali Ali has toured as guitarist with Marvin Gaye, The Jacksons, Aretha Franklin,
and the Undisputed Truth.
Phillip Young has opened for Arturo Sandoval, Steele Pulse, Kate Taylor, The Neville Brothers, and Gladys Knight. Phillip also plays with Frank Wilkins and the WeJazzUp Orchestra, Elevation Theory, and many other bands in the Boston area.
We are privileged to have Wali Ali and Philip Young with us to open
“Fresh Fridays” in Dorchester.

The Dorchester Community Food Co-op and Sustainability Guild International will showcase an exciting series of Friday night events in August through September. There will be live
entertainment & savory food and beverages, along with activities for children.
Join us in celebrating the essence of Dorchester through diverse voices, talents and flavors!

This is a Community Supported series—volunteers are welcome and
encouraged to help set up, serve and prepare food.
