Only two weeks left! So come on down to the 
Dorchester Winter Farmers’ Market
 
Sundays, Noon-3 pm at the Codman Square Great Hall
 (Corner of Washington St. and Talbot Ave.)
 

Forward this email to your social networks……….Invite a friend or neighbor who hasn’t come yet to come with you. If everyone brings one friend we will double our traffic!     Offer to shop for an elderly or housebound neighbor………Gather a group to come with you after your church service–we are open til 3!

Spread the word:  SNAP participants can use EBT cards at the Winter Farmers’ Market, and will get HALF OFF through the  Bounty Bucks Program ($20 of food for $10)

  • Dorchester’s Summer Farmers’ Markets
    Only two weeks left to buy farm fresh produce at the Dorchester Winter Farmers’ Market. Stop by the Market Manager table to find out about Dorchester’s Summer Farmers’ Markets. Buy a summer CSA share from Silverbrook Farm (pick up at Codman Square Summer Farmers’ Market on Thursdays from June-October)

  • Seafood
    Returns to the market for the rest of March.The seafood at the market is fresh, local, and affordable! 

     
  • JOB OPPORTUNITIES: The Building Pathways Program 
    will return to the market with information about UNION APPRENTICESHIPS in the Building Trades!  
    The Boston Building Trades will be at the Market through March. Come and learn how to sign up! Spread the word for those interested in pursuing careers in the trades.

  • SAVE the DATE: Sunday April 1  
    Dorchester Community Food Coop Pot Luck Dinner and Membership Drive Kickoff 
    It’s official! On February 29th we received our incorporation papers as a community and worker owned cooperative. 

  • “March Surprise” Raffle: 
    Win a bag stuffed with Food from our Farmers’ Market vendors! Stop by the Coop table to buy a raffle ticket and support the Dorchester Community Food Coop!

Our produce vendors have been bringing an abundance of winter and greenhouse vegetables to the market, including: 
Collard Greens, Kale, Sweet potatoes, Potatoes, Salad Greens and Lettuce, Onions, Carrots, Parsnips, Winter Squash, Cherry Tomatoes, Scallions, Dried hot peppers, Cabbage, Dried Beans, Apples, Celery root, Garlic,Brussel sprouts, Broccoli , Eggs, Herbs, Honey, and more…

Stillman’s at the Turkey Farm  

Conscientiously-raised beef, lamb, pork, and eggs. 
Cheese and grass fed beef and veal.
Proofed Artisan and Traditional Breads

Asiago Cheese, Vermont Rye, Natural Honey Whole Wheat and Pumpkin and Cider 7 Grain Organic are among the delicious breads offered 

Fresh Local Seafood–check out the catch! This week includes pollack and hake!
