Thank you so much to everyone who came out this past Sunday and participated in the $5 Challenge!  We had a great turnout, and tables overflowing with delectable meals, all cooked by Dorchester residents who know how to pinch pennies.  Check out the awesome pictures of the event on our Facebook page, taken by our very own Joel Wool!

Guests dig into the meals cooked by neighbors and friends.

About 70 people participated in the event, including about 20 entries into our competition!  Speaking of the competition, we’d like to congratulate the winners…

Michiko Andrade–1st place, with a Mexicali Salad
Elisa Girard–2nd place, with Curried Butternut Squash with Chickpeas
Marc Poisson–3rd place, with Alaska Pink Salmon with Potatoes and Peas
Mary Ann Lomba–Most Kid-Friendly with an incredible Lasagna, chosen by Fin, our youngest judge.
Grace Tan–Easiest Dish to Make in a Hurry with a delightful Stir Fry
