Site Search Location Tour Update

Yesterday evening (7/26) the Site Search Committee toured two vacant buildings; the former Pearl Meatpacking Factory on the corner of Mascoma and Quincy and a building at 1512 Medway St in the Lower Mills neighborhood.

The Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation owns the Pearl Meatpacking Factory and has plans to rent the space out to multiple parties. You can find their plan at http://www.dehc.org/epa-listening-session/.

The Site Search Committee will continue to look at locations in order to find a home for the Dorchester Community Food Co-op and would appreciate the community’s input in this process as well.

Pictures of the site are posted below and on our facebook site: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.169508039789196.42566.150151708391496&saved#!/pages/DotCommCoop/150151708391496
